UFU Group Visit to Gilfresh
BY Anne Mac Oscar
We were delighted to welcome the North West Armagh Ulster Farmers Union (UFU) Group to Gilfresh Produce recently, alongside UFU President William Irvine and his wife Ruth, as well as UFU Deputy President Glenn Cuddy.
The visit provided a fantastic opportunity for members of the UFU to get an up-close look at our operations and gain a deeper understanding of how fresh produce travels from farm to fork. William, Thomas, and Richard Gilpin were pleased to personally guide the group around our state-of-the-art production facilities, sharing insights into the careful processes involved in growing, harvesting, and preparing our vegetables for market.
The tour highlighted Gilfresh’s ongoing commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation, showcasing how we work to deliver the freshest produce possible to consumers. It also sparked valuable conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing the agri-food sector today.
We are grateful to the UFU team for taking the time to visit us and engage so thoughtfully with our operations. Strengthening ties with local farming communities remains a key priority for Gilfresh, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration in the years ahead.
